The cars that are hardest hit by the new EU rules in the inspection.
Tens of thousands of diesel cars could be rejected.– Car’s experience says: we do not recommend repairing a car if the cost exceeds half the value of the car.
The EU has decided on common inspection rules for all member states. One of the points concerns emissions from diesel cars. That is why they propose particle and NOx measurement. When similar measurements were introduced in Belgium, 17 percent of diesel cars were rejected. An average for several EU countries points to nine percent of diesel cars that did not pass the new emissions tests.– The cost of repair can also exceed what is reasonable considering the value of the vehicle.

One way to get an answer if your car is at risk of being rejected is to have the emissions. If you don’t have Adblue on your car, the risk is significantly higher that it won’t meet the values. If there’s no Adblue, you’re in a bad position when it comes to NOx measurements, when your values will skyrocket.
