The Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Interior, and Syrian General Security are intimidating Syrian immigrants, relying on terrorism courts established by the Assad regime. The transitional government has not abided by the constitutional declaration, which mandates the abolition of these terrorism courts that have affected hundreds of thousands of Syrians. Many Syrians who visited Syria fell into the trap of these courts. Now, the transitional government is using them to blackmail Syrians, in blatant violation of human rights laws. Hundreds of lawsuits have been filed against the transitional government in Syria. Our office has received dozens of consultations and requests for assistance to initiate legal proceedings against the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Interior, and Syrian General Security on charges of human rights violations.
