Syrian citizen digital information sold starting from $150.The X Minority investigative team obtained information proving that the cybersecurity file at the Syrian Ministry of Communications is in the hands of gangs operating within and affiliated with the ministry.
Syrians’ data is being sold on the dark web, in the complete absence of effective protection measures.
X Minority has confirmed that a massive database containing 94,806 Syrian university student records has been leaked, including sensitive personal data such as names and ID card images.
The data, totaling 43.6 GB, is being offered for sale for as little as $300. In addition to the Doctors Syndicate data, which costs only $150, it’s clear that cybersecurity has been completely compromised.
The latest leaks include sensitive data on Sama-net (IPTV) subscribers, numbering over 3,000.
This includes information such as names, numbers, and subscription and renewal dates.
This poses a real threat to national security and Syrian citizens, and demonstrates a complete failure to protect digital data.
