A person close to al-Sharaa told the X Minority investigative team that President al-Sharaa is a hostage of the leadership of the former al-Nusra Front, who later transformed into Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham. The source said that President al-Sharaa does not make decisions and cannot deviate from the opinion of the extremist group.

The Damascus-based source stated that Marhaf Abu Qasra, Anas al-Khattab, and other Takfiri figures, who were the leadership of the former al-Nusra Front and then the leadership of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, control the presidential palace and the newly formed Syrian Security Council.
He said that Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham has not been dissolved, but rather has been reconstituted under the name of the Ministry of Defence and Public Security.
The source close to al-Sharaa confirmed that the US envoy Thomas Barrack occasionally meets with the real leaders of the past Jabhat al-Nusra.
The source confirmed that the Al-Nusra Front has not been effectively dissolved.
He is aware that President al-Sharaa is a hostage, with those currently in power being the actual leaders of Jabhat al-Nusra, not al-Sharaa or secondary members of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham.
He confirmed that Marhaf Abu Qasra and Anas al-Khattab are implicated in numerous serious violations over the past seven months.
Our team in X Minority have gathered a huge evidence of the interior design of Jabhat al-Nusra and Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham.
