The Jerusalem post published today 20 November a part of fact concerning the weapons smuggling from Syria to Israel. According to The Jerusalem post, three person from Hader in Syria are involved.
It is known that the town of Hader is located directly on the 1974 disengagement line. It is under direct Israeli surveillance.
Since the fall of Assad, Israel has expanded beyond the disengagement line into the Syrian interior.
Following the events in Suwaida in the summer, which resulted in massacres perpetrated by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham forces, claiming the lives of hundreds of Druze and a number of Christians, including burning of churches and the desecration of Christian cemeteries. Israeli forces expanded their presence further into Syrian territory, ostensibly to defend the Druze ( As Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated ).
Because of the Israeli presence, al-Qaeda’s plan to take full control of whole Syria has thwarted . Hayat Tahrir al-Sham lost control of Suwayda and some parts of Quneitra province bordering Israel..
But there are sleeper cells belonging to Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (al-Qaeda) in the area. They have begun to be quietly activated, fearing that Israel might bomb Damascus, as it did when it bombed the HTS’s forces advancing towards Suwayda, as well as the Ministry of Defense in the Damascus suburbs, and the area surrounding al-Julani’s residence in the Presidential Palace.

“The prosecution filed two indictments at the Nazareth District Court on Thursday against suspected Israeli and Syrian weapons smugglers. The defendants include Shfaram resident Rami Abu Shah, Yarka residents Amir Salman, Anan Mula, and Munir Abu Daher, and three residents of Hader in Syria.”
The indictment included an allegation against the defendants of possessing and smuggling firearms and military ammunition from Syrian territory into Israel throughout 2025.
Through an ongoing investigation, X.M. leaked information indicating that al-Qaeda, through Hayat Tahrir al-Sham cells in the border region with Israel, is facilitating the smuggling of weapons and ammunition with the aim of carrying sabotage in Israel.
