Syria’s Christian martyrs who fell on June 22nd at the hands of Islamic Jihad… Saraya Ansar al-Sunna claimed responsibility for the bombing of the Prophet Elijah Church in Damascus… Saraya Ansar al-Sunna was formed in February 2025, and its members come from diverse backgrounds. Some are defectors from Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (the current government), while others are from different factions, contrary to what the Syrian Ministry of Interior has announced about ISIS. It is clear that the Syrian transitional government is lying and trying to hide this fact. Today at 1:00 PM Damascus time, Patriarch Joe X joined the funeral prayers for some of the martyrs, accusing the government of complicity… as it belongs to the same faction as Saraya Ansar al-Sunna.
