Background:
The problem in Greece lies in the slow pace of dialogue between the National Church (Church of Greece) and the Genuine Greek Orthodox Church, headed by Archbishop Kallinikos, which is officially recognized by the Greek Supreme Court and Parliament. popularly referred to as the Old Calendar Church, which serves approximately 30% of the churches in Greece.
Previous investigations indicate that the slow pace of dialogue between the two churches stems from political agendas rather than doctrinal differences. Both churches share the same origin and Orthodox faith.
Investigations conducted several years ago revealed the existence of two factions within both churches that are attempting to obstruct any progress in the dialogue.
This slow pace of dialogue has opened the door for paid lunatics to establish their own churches and appoint themselves as archbishops.
The big question is: Why are there those who seek to derail the dialogue between the two Orthodox churches, thereby creating space for paid individuals to widen the Orthodox divide in Greece?
