Following the new Syrian currency announcement in Damascus by Ahmedal-Sharaa the transitional president and Leader of HTS Al-Qaeda in Syria, several printing errors surfaced, leading to secretive reprinting the new currency within few days..

After errors appeared, they mysterious reprint it, and the Hijri date was changed to 1447 AH.
It appears that page 7 was accidentally omitted (and may list public banks as exchange points, as they are not included in the Central Bank’s manual). Page 11 was also missing, with the number 10 being duplicated.
Furthermore, a few days prior, the Governor of the Central Bank of Syria, Abdul Qader Hasriya, declined to answer question on the cost and source of the new currency in an interview with CNBC. This was before the errors in the new currency were discovered.
Last August, Reuters reported, citing bankers and a well-informed Syrian source, that an agreement had been reached with the Russian company Goznak to print the new Syrian currency. Syrian journalist Firas Dalati, who works for Reuters, posted on his Facebook account: “Some people were able to see what are known as the security specifications of the currency, and it turned out that, yes, it was printed by Goznak, the Russian company mired in sanctions that used to print Bashar al-Assad’s currency.”
However, after the currency was reprinted and the errors corrected, suspicions arose that this currency was printed in Syria without any international oversight and outside of international standards. Furthermore, there are suspicions of a massive money laundering operation , in benefits of Al-Qaeda, taking place through mysterious print and the replacement of the old, internationally recognized Syrian currency.
The X.M team is conducting a serious investigation into these suspicions, and many indicators point to a lack of transparency in the currency printing process, the method used to remove zeros from the currency’s value, and how the al-Qaeda-affiliated authorities in Syria are handling the replacement of the internationally recognized Syrian currency.
If these suspicions are confirmed, the entire Syrian people will be the greatest victims in contemporary history.
