The wish to get eight new franchises, on top of the 13 current shareholders, remains in place, and a new meeting is expected to be scheduled soon. The 13 founding clubs will become permanent franchises, but decisions on the remaining spots are still pending. To be exact, the due diligence on the new bids will be further examined. It has to be noted that, as reported by Gazzetta dello Sport and confirmed by Eurohoops sources, the NBA offer that was on the table applied to the current number of shareholders. However, no shareholder was in favor of the proposal made by the NBA.
