Megan Fudge (L) won her 33rd career gold, while Kat Stewart (R) took home both the Singles and Doubles gold.
APP
The Association of Pickleball Players (APP) held its sixth domestic major event this past weekend, and its 16th event globally for the 2026 season, with its APP Dillons Overland Park Open in Overland Park, Kansas.
Many of its top players spent the last couple of weeks in Asia, competing in Vietnam at the 2026 World Cup two weeks ago, then just up the road for the 2026 Saigon Cup. The travel weary pros made it back to the heartland for this Tier 1 event, with plenty of frequent flier miles in hand.
This event marked the domestic return of Jay Devilliers, who last played an APP event in January 2022 and who was one of the tour’s biggest draws in its early days. Devilliers owns 18 career golds on tour, and 31 total medals, evenly split between Singles, Doubles, and Mixed, and tried his hand in all three disciplines this weekend as essentially the lowest seed. Read on to see how he fared against the competition.

Men’s Pro Singles Recap
The early rounds featured the return of Devilliers as the No. 41 seed: he ground through two 3-game wins in the early rounds, including a win over No. 6 Drake Palm before falling in the 16s to Naveen Beasley. No. 5 Tristan Dussault, who won a triple crown at the most recent APP Next event in St. Louis in early August, came to play this weekend, beating Conley, Izarray, and DeHeart to make the semis, where he took out top seed Ronan Camron to make his first gold medal match on tour from the top side.
From the bottom half, No 15 Jake Bower went on a tear, beating Garcia and then 2nd seeded Dusty Boyer early before falling in the semis to former tour No. 1 Ammar Wazir to setup a 3-vs-5 final. In the gold medal match, Wazir returned to the top, winning his 6th career singles gold on tour.
Gold: Ammar Wazir. Silver: Tristan Dussault. Bronze: Jake Bower.

Women’s Pro Singles Recap
No. 1 seed Kat Stewart, who took gold at the individual competition in De Nang then silver a week later at the Saigon cup, shook off some jet lag and a tough semi finals opponent in Amber Policare to reach the final from the top side. There she met No. 2 Domenika Turkovic, who took out 3rd seeded Seone Mendez in the semis. In the gold medal match, it went to the deciding third game, but Stewart came out on top 8,(8),5. Policare took the bronze to claim her first career APP medal, one that she would soon add to.
Gold: Kat Stewart. Silver: Domenika Turkovic. Bronze: Amber Policare.

Mixed Pro Doubles Recap
No fewer than 34 pro teams poured into the Mixed draw in Kansas, which normally portends upsets galore, but the quarters were nearly chalk. Devilliers picked the pride of Croatia Domenika Turkovic for his Mixed partner, but their No. 17 seed ran them right into the top draw early. They pressed No. 1 Megan Fudge & Aidan Schenk, but could not break them, crashing out in the 16s. Fudge & Schenk were then taken out in the semis in a shock by the 21st seeded team of Allison Harris / Tristan Dussault. There they met No. 2 Emilia Schmidt & Jack Munro, who held serve against a series of foes to make the final. In the gold medal match, the surprise finalists completed their shock win, taking out Munro & Schmidt to give Tristan his first career APP gold.
Gold: Harris & Dussault. Silver: Schmidt & Munro. Bronze: Fudge & Schenk.
Men’s Pro Doubles Recap

Jay Devilliers (R) made his triumphant return to the APP, partnering with Tanner Tomassi (L) in doubles.
APP
Devilliers paired with Jersey native and popular pickleball content creator Tanner Tomassi as the 8th seed and pressed the top seeds Jack Munro & Richard Livornese in their quarter before falling 11-9 in the third. 2nd seeded Drake Palm & Ronan Camron were upset in the quarters by 10th seeded Andre Millet & Randy Blanco, which paved the way for 3rd seeds Etienne Blaszkewycz & Callan Dawson to get to the final to setup a rematch of the Detroit Open final a month ago. In the gold medal rematch, Munro & Livornese once again ousted the two OG pickleballers by the score of 5,10
Gold: Munro & Livornese. Silver: Blaszkewycz & Dawson. Bronze: Millet & Blanco

Women’s Pro Doubles Recap

Amber Policare had a fantastic event, medaling in both singles and doubles for her first APP podiums.
APP
Megan Fudge has had to find a new partner mid season with the decampment of her former partner to the PPA, and she may have found a winner. Kat Stewart, who does have a doubles gold but who is more known for her singles prowess, teamed with Fudge in Kansas City to claim the gold. They topped surprise finalists No. 6 Glauka Carvajal Lane & Amber Policare in the final. This is Glauka’s 2nd ever Women’s doubles medal, but more importantly this is Policare’s first professional medal at the sport’s top level. The winners from Detroit (Bates & Maddox) settled for Bronze.
With this gold, Fudge moves into a tie for 1st place all time in gold medals amongst APP female players. She joins her fellow APP legend Simone Jardim atop the standings.
Gold: Fudge & Stewart. Silver: Lane & Policare. Bronze: Bates & Maddox
