Illusion promises in Swedish Election
The promises being made are nothing but an illusion of investment in growth, infrastructure, housing, and the daily lives of Swedes, all while the government budget deficit persists. Economists have warned that many of these promises exceed the available budget.
The previous experience of the Social Democratic Party and its allied opposition parties proved disastrous for Sweden in managing the COVID crisis and the subsequent tripling of fuel prices, leading to bankruptcies and resulting socio-economic catastrophes whose effects are still felt today.
The Conservatives and their allies have only made matters worse. They spent billions on the war in Ukraine in an attempt to weaken Russia, but the result has been the opposite: the Russian economy is growing while the Swedish economy is weakening.
Swedish Enforcement Authority (Kronofogden) stated that there are billions in debt that Swedes cannot repay, a consequence of the abject failure of previous governments that raised interest rates, fuel prices, the cost of living, taxes, and tax interest.
Ultimately, all these parties spread illusions in order to gain power – and they are indifferent to the suffering of the citizens.
