If you’ve ever dreamed of hitting long drives on a football field inside a big-time college stadium, you’ll have your chance in Waco, Texas.
Topgolf, the golf and entertainment company headquartered in Dallas, announced that it would bring its Topgolf Live Stadium Series to Baylor University, transforming McLane Stadium into a live golf and fan experience for four days, from Oct. 29 to Nov. 1.
How Topgolf will transform McLane Stadium
Baylor fans will have the opportunity to play golf from the field, and 22 hitting bays will be installed inside McLane Stadium, allowing guests to hit golf balls toward interactive targets on the field and compete for the chance to win prizes.
“We are excited to bring Topgolf Live to Baylor University and give Baylor fans an unexpected way to experience McLane Stadium,” said Jason Cook, Chief Marketing Officer at Baylor University. “Topgolf has built one of the most recognizable sports entertainment experiences in the country and bringing that experience together with Baylor Football creates something truly unique for our students, alumni and fans.”

The dates will bookend a Friday night watch party on Oct. 30, as the Baylor Bears travel to Orlando to face the UCF Knights in Big 12 action, which will air in primetime on ESPN at 6:30 p.m. CT.
“Bringing the Topgolf Live Stadium Series to Baylor University is a milestone moment, the first in the Big 12 and the first at a college in the great state of Texas,” said David McKillips, CEO of Topgolf. “This is such a unique program that brings golf, entertainment and our support of Baylor’s NIL program with an added commitment to student-athletes’ growth personally and professionally through many opportunities we have at Topgolf globally.”

Topgolf has experimented with stadium installations for years, starting in 2017 at the Seattle Mariners’ T-Mobile Park. Since then, the brand has toured with temporary installations at iconic venues including Fenway Park, Dodger Stadium, Oracle Park and Raymond James Stadium.
The Baylor event is part of Topgolf’s broader initiative to expand the Topgolf Live Stadium Series, which brings its entertainment experience to college stadiums and other iconic sports venues nationwide. The series will kick off at the University of Georgia’s Sanford Stadium from October 20-25.
Topgolf will announce additional information about tickets, corporate events, and VIP experiences later. Currently, pricing at Topgolf’s Sanford Stadium event lists general admission for one bay at $446 for four tickets, which includes 50 minutes of play. For corporate groups, a two-hour session in a designated bay for up to 25 people costs $6,968.75.
