Milwaukee Bucks congratulate Brewers after historic World Series championship

The Milwaukee Bucks may be having a difficult stretch, but the city’s baseball team gave Wisconsin something to cheer about. The Milwaukee Brewers made history on Wednesday, defeating the Tampa Bay Rays 4-1 in the fifth game of the World Series at Tropicana Field to secure the franchise’s first ever championship.
William Contreras, Cooper Pratt and Jacob Misiorowski played key roles in Milwaukee’s championship-clinching win, helping the Brewers finish off the Rays after Tampa Bay avoided elimination with a Game 4 victory on Tuesday. The Bucks also recognized the baseball team’s historic achievement, sharing a congratulatory message on social media.

The Brewers have given the city a championship to celebrate, while the Bucks are still searching for answers early in the basketball season. Milwaukee’s NBA team fell to the Houston Rockets 132-100 at Fiserv Forum on Wednesday, bringing its record down to 1-4.
Tyler Herro finished with 23 points and three rebounds, but the Bucks couldn’t keep pace with Houston.

Herro has been a Brewers fan since childhood, making Milwaukee’s championship triumph especially meaningful for the Bucks guard. While he celebrates his favorite baseball team’s success, his basketball squad faces a tougher road ahead.
The Bucks are trying to find their footing amid a period of major roster changes, with Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bobby Portis Jr. and Kevin Porter Jr. no longer on the team.
