Carrick confirms Man Utd injury blows as he gives updates on several players ahead of Spurs game
Michael Carrick has confirmed Patrick Dorgu is set to be sidelined for a number of weeks ahead of Manchester United’s Premier League return against Tottenham.
United are back in action at Old Trafford on Saturday following the international break, but Carrick has a number of fitness concerns to contend with.
Dorgu was forced off while on international duty and Carrick says the left-sided player now faces a spell out.
“Patrick came off and it looks like he will be out for probably a number of weeks,” Carrick said.
Noussair Mazraoui is also a doubt after picking up a knock, with the United boss revealing he is yet to fully recover.
“Nous came off and took a knock. He’s not quite right yet, so we’ll see how he is.”

There was more positive news on Carlos Baleba, Amad, Marcus Rashford and Kobbie Mainoo, who have all been building up their fitness.
“Carlos is improving, he’s trained a lot and is improving,” Carrick said.
“Amad has done a little bit of training, Marcus has done a little bit of training, Kobbie has done a little bit of training. So it’s a little bit mixed really.”
Baleba could be in line to make his competitive debut after being an unused substitute at Fulham and featuring in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Lausanne-Sport.
Benjamin Sesko, however, remains unavailable.
“Ben is further away, with the issue he has got,” Carrick added.
“He won’t be ready.”
