Micah Parsons update: NFL insider reveals return date for Packers edge

The Green Bay Packers have been waiting for Micah Parsons to return to their defense after the star pass rusher suffered a serious knee injury last season.
Parsons has yet to make his 2026 debut, leaving the Packers without one of their most important defensive players through the opening weeks of the season. His recovery has been closely monitored as Green Bay looks to have its defensive centerpiece back before the second half of the campaign.
With the regular season approaching its midpoint, the latest update on Parsons could offer some encouragement to the Packers and their supporters.

Parsons is expected to return to practice next week and could make his season debut in November (h/t Tom Pelissero of The Ringer). The most likely date for his return is Thanksgiving Eve, when the Packers are scheduled to face the Los Angeles Rams.
Packers head coach Matt LaFleur has also expressed hope that Parsons will return to practice next week. When asked about the possibility earlier in the week, LaFleur said, “I sure hope so,” although Parsons will still need medical clearance before returning.
His return would give Green Bay a major boost on defense, Parsons recorded 12.5 sacks and 41 total tackles in 14 games during his first season with the Green Bay Packers.
