Brittany Mahomes has some strong thoughts on penalty that doomed Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs squandered an 11-point lead and dropped an AFC West showcase to the Denver Broncos on Sunday.
Patrick Mahomes appeared to have pulled a rabbit out of his hat once again when he found Rashee Rice for what would have been the game-winning touchdown with zero seconds remaining. But a costly false start by Jaylon Moore negated the play and forced a die-or-die chance six yards from the end zone.

That attempt was derailed by a fierce Broncos pass rush that got to Mahomes before he could release a pass and secured a 28-24 Denver victory.
Chiefs disagree with call
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid did not see eye-to-eye with the officials and shared his thoughts on the costly penalty with reporters.

“I didn’t see it,” Reid said. “That’s one man’s opinion. I just didn’t see it. I saw him move his head, but I didn’t see [a] false start.”
That feeling was shared by Brittany Mahomes.
You can’t tell me you call that on a game winning TD,” she wrote in a post to her Instagram story. “Oh wait yeah I can cause it’s us.”
“That’s the weakest call I have ever seen,” she added. “You can’t tell me otherwise.”
It’s perfectly understandable to take umbrage with a call of such significance. Yet this is about as clear-cut as a false start can be. Moore was not turning his head to the side— that came only after a pretty obvious flinch.
In short, there were dozens of “weaker” calls made around the league on Sunday. This was just the most impactful.
The Chiefs are now 5-2 and looking up at the Broncos in the division. The close loss was a callback to last season’s nightmare where one-score games were the enemy.
It is interesting to see how the pendulum swings over time. Not long ago the Chiefs were the NFL’s main character for getting all of the calls. Now they feel as aggrieved as any other fanbase.
