Three Betr Picks for Tuesday
One of my favorite things about Betr is that it’s really straightforward. They give you a stat projection, and you choose higher or lower. And for Tuesday, my favorite picks are on some lesser-heralded college football matchups.
Player
Projection
My pick
Nick Poulos, OHIO
204.5 passing yards
Lower
Nick Poulos, OHIO
30.5 rushing yards
Higher
Messiah Burch, BUF
105.5 rushing yards
Higher
The MAC is back at 7:00 PM ET, when the Akron Zips host the Ohio Bobcats. At 8:00 PM ET, the action continues when the Miami of Ohio Redhawks host the Buffalo Bulls.
Poulos only has 781 passing yards this season. He’s missed some time, but he also only attempted 32 passes in dominant wins against Central Michigan (31-14) and Sacramento State (48-7). On the ground against those teams, he combined for 100 yards on 21 carries. Plus, at 6-2, the Bobcats are favored heavily to beat the 1-7 Zips. So game script will likely favor the running game in the 2nd half.
Burch has taken an obscene amount of the Bulls’ offense upon himself over their last five games, carrying the ball 127 times for 745 yards. His last outing against Bowling Green saw him take 33 carries for 184 yards and three touchdowns. He hasn’t been held under 100 yards since the Bulls visited Penn State in September.
